What's one of the secret ingredients to a happy marriage lasting 64 years and counting? Wearing matching outfits, say Nebraska octogenarians Mel and Joey Schwanke. Every day, for decades, Mel has donned a tie cut from the same fabric as Joey's dress, notes The Look blog on Today. The couple owns 146 of these ensembles. It all began when a dressmaker fashioned a tie out of extra fabric from one of Joey's dresses. “I’ve always fully respected him and he’s fully respected me,” says Joey. “We’ve had to work together on things like that. And in the morning we say, ‘Well, what do you feel like wearing?’” The couple stills works together in the family floral shop that was founded in the late 1800's.
