Jesus burgles neighbor's home, gets caught, breaks into another neighbor's house and threatens her with rake. THE ARISTOCRATS

SAN ANTONIO -- What appears to be bad blood between neighbors had led to bad news for one. He's facing criminal charges after police said he broke into his neighbor's home and tried to assault her.

Jesus Vargas, 23, is charged with burglary with the intent to commit assault stemming from the July 16 incident.

According to an arrest affidavit, the female neighbor called 911, saying Vargas was pushing his way inside her home and trying to hit her with a rake.

She told police who responded that she had been having problems with Vargas ever since she moved into her home, and that he had physically confronted her on at least one prior occasion.

The affidavit stated Vargas charged after her when she threatened to call police because she claimed he was trespassing on another neighbor's property.

The other neighbor had temporarily moved from her home due to a fire. The woman who called police said she had caught Vargas stealing items from the home a few days earlier.

The victim said after she made the threat, Vargas ran toward her apartment, broke out her front window and tried to force his way into her home.

The woman said she held the door closed, but Vargas eventually made his way inside where he threatened her with a small rake.

Police tracked down Vargas and arrested him Wednesday.
