YUKON, Okla.
Yukon police said what started as a beer run turned into a high-speed pursuit early Wednesday morning.
Police said the two men were caught trying to steal five cases of beer from the Walmart at Garth Brooks Boulevard and Interstate 40. When they were confronted by employees they took off in a black pickup truck, according to police.
Yukon officers said they tried to pull the truck over but it continued on to I-40 reaching speeds of 110 mph. Oklahoma Highway Patrol joined in the chase until the truck crashed near Rockwell Road.
Officers said the driver was arrested after a short foot pursuit and subdued after officers used a Taser. The passenger was taken to the hospital as a precaution for minor injuries.
The two did not get away with any beer.
