Super Bowl ticketholders furious after they lose seats
It was supposed to be a trip of a lifetime for Minneapolis residents Steve Nordess and his 80-year-old father.
But just before game time, it had the makings of disaster.
The fire marshal shut down the section of the stadium where Nordess and his father had seats and directed them to the Miller Light Hospitality Room, saying they would reimburse them triple the cost of their tickets.
But, Nordess said, officials directed them to the wrong hospitality room and, just before game time, they were still trying to find a place to watch the game.
“We paid $800 face-value for our tickets, plus our flight down here and the cost of our hotel room,” said Nordess, a season ticket holder for the Packers. “This was supposed to be the trip of a lifetime for my father and we are trying to get this resovled so we can watch the game.”
Likewise, Paul Kutcher and his wife, Cindy – who are from Tampa, but are Steelers’ season ticket holders - had about reached their breaking point just before the game after losing their seats.
“This is the worst experience we’ve had by far,” said Paul Kutcher, who was attending this third Super Bowl. “Nobody tells us anything, nobody knows anything.”
