US man was forced to eat his own beard by two former friends who were angry about a business deal gone wrong.
Harvey Westmoreland said he was arguing with Troy Holt and James Hill about the sale of a lawnmower when the two men pulled out guns and knives.
He said the pair first threatened to kill his brother but then decided to subject him to a bizarre torture instead.
“They cut my beard and forced me to eat it,” Westmoreland told a Lexington TV station.
Holt and Hill have pleaded guilty to the assault and are expected to be fined.
Westmoreland said the pair had asked him to come to Holt’s house and the fight broke out when he arrived.
“Troy offered to buy it [the ride-on lawn mower] from me for $254. I paid $20 for it. He thought I was trying to cheat him,” Westmore said.
“One thing led to another and before I knew it there were knives and guns and everything just went haywire.”
