hottub 911

A Beaverton man called 911 to tell police he needed a towel and a hug Saturday morning, but instead he found himself arrested on criminal trespassing charges.
Police officers said they found Mark Eskelsen in a private hot tub at the Four Seasons Rec Center at about 7 a.m. Neighbors had complained about noise in the area, but police said Eskelsen called emergency dispatchers himself and claimed to be the Washington County sheriff."Believe it or not, I am the sheriff of Washington County and I've been in this hot tub here, I don't know, at least 10 hours," Eskelsen said in the 911 call. Raw Audio: Listen to the 911 call Eskelsen said he was cold from being in the pool. He asked police to bring him a towel, a hot chocolate and also said he needed a hug.Prior to making his emergency call, Eskelsen climbed the locked fence to get into the pool area, police said. When a dispatcher asked if he was experiencing a medical emergency, he mentioned he suffered from a medical condition and shouldn't be yelling.During the nine-minute emergency call, Eskelsen later admitted that he was not the sheriff of Washington County. He said he simply needed help."I just need, I need a hug and, you know, a warm cup of hot chocolate with some marshmallows in it," Eskelsen said during the 911 call.Officers said Eskelsen admitted to using drugs daily. They said they found marijuana and a pipe in his backpack. Eskelsen also said he had a needle and a syringe, according to police.Eskelsen was arrested on charges of criminal trespassing and improper use of 911.Police stress that 911 should only be used for real emergencies.
