LOS ANGELES, June 18 (UPI) -- Jani Lane, former lead singer for the rock band Warrant, has been arrested in Los Angeles on suspicion of driving under the influence, police said.

TMZ reported the 45-year-old recording artist was arrested and charged with misdemeanor DUI after he allegedly hit a parked car with his vehicle in the Woodland Hills neighborhood Wednesday night.

Police told the entertainment news Web site that Lane showed signs he was intoxicated when they arrived at the scene of the collision.

The singer is being held by police until he posts $30,000 bail, TMZ said.
