Calls 911 Complaining About Food Order
"I said I'm going to get extra meat this time. But he didn't even put extra shrimp in there," the woman told a 911 dispatcher. "I asked him, 'Can I get any extra shrimp, or can you give my money back?' And he started hollering. So I just said, 'I'm going to call the police.'"
The customer never identified herself to the 911 operator, and she was gone when officers arrived at the restaurant.
A regular customer at the restaurant said he orders the $5.99 fried rice with shrimp a lot, and he can't understand why the 911 caller went to such extremes.
"It's pretty good, I'm not gonna lie," Alfredo Martinez said. When asked how much shrimp he usually gets in his fried rice Martinez replied, "I don't really count it, but a pretty good amount."
Martinez said people should only use 911 for emergencies, not for food complaints. "I think it's kind of ridiculous for someone to take it that far and bother police officers with something like that," Martinez added.
No charges have been filed in this case. The owner says if the unhappy customer ever comes back to A and D Buffalo, she will do all she can to make the woman a happy customer.
