Comedian Charged With Possession Of Marijuana

VERO BEACH, Fla. -- Ron White of the "Blue Collar Comedy Tour" was late to a sold-out performance on the Treasure Coast, but he had a good excuse.

Based on an anonymous tip, the Vero Beach Police Department arrested the comedian Wednesday on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

He was booked at the Indian River County jail shortly after 6 p.m. that day and released about two hours later on $1,000 bail. He's scheduled to attend a second sold-out performance in Fort Pierce on Thursday.
